Enya's Full Month

Thanks to Po Po for the simple full month celebration for Enya, we really appreciate it.

The sisters

The above pictures are not telling the truth because our dear Leia was jealous of meimei Enya. She did not like us to carry Enya and made big fuss once she reached home from childcare. She liked to disturb me when I was feeding Enya. It was difficult and my mum decided to visit the temple and carried out a mini ritual in my bedroom. She put joss sticks in a container and placed it in my wardrobe. It did became better after about a month. So was it the ritual that worked or fussing was just a phase? I don't have the answer :)

Welcome Enya!

Finally, I found time to create a new blog for both princesses. This blod should no longer be named after Leia due to our new addition Enya. Papa says they are the "Ya ya girls" because both have a "Ya" in their names, so I came up with "yayagirls" while searching for a domain name. Glad that there's an easy way to transfer all the posts from the previous blog.

So, let me introduce Enya Tan! She's born at 3.1kg, my ideal weight for delivery. I was constantly having phobia of delivering another big baby, so gynae suggested that I go for induced delivery when I was 1 cm dilated and since mei mei is already at a good weight. I was shocked when he said "why not tomorrow?", was totally unprepared because i was 2 weeks away from my edd, didn't expect to give birth this early. Anyway, after much consideration, hubby says "let's do it!". Well well, at least all fall into the plan. We offically shifted on 1st Jan, Leia started her childcare days and Mei Mei arrives 12 days later.

I went thru the same old process of induction including bursting of waterbag, put on drips and constant checking of the cervix. When it was time, I pushed for about 30mins with the help of the nurses. After gynae arrived, I continued to push but it just didn't happen so he decided to 'cut' further and baby Enya arrived shortly. It's much faster this time as compared to Leia's time when we had to resort to vacuum and forecepts after 1.5hr of pushing, which explains why I couldn't walk after that delivery. This time, it's pretty smooth just that I vomitted a few times, felt giddy and contraction of the womb was so painful. Anyway, I finally did it, felt that I have completed my task of bringing a sibling to Leia. Enya is so adorable and she has so much hair, much thicker than Leia baby!
